Tony Arata is a singer-songwriter originally from Savannah, Georgia. Songs he wrote have been recorded by other recording artists including Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, Emmylou Harris, Don Williams, Randy Travis and Bonnie Raitt. However, he’s most known as being the writer of “The Dance,” the hit song of musical artist Garth Brooks.
