Recorded backstage in Athens, Georgia, this is an interview with Count M’Butu we’re about to hear. This was conducted around 2006 when the Count was playing with the Derek Trucks Band.

Born Harold L. Jones in 1945, he passed away in 2021. Count M’Butu was known as a consummate percussionist and played with the Aquarium Rescue Unit, John Popper of Blues Traveler, Colonel Bruce Hampton and many other bands and musicians. He also made a solo album and composed.
