A very influential artist, the songs of Willis Alan Ramsey have been recorded by a great variety of artists: country artists like Waylon Jennings, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and also singer-songwriters like Eric Clapton, Shawn Colvin and Jimmy Buffett who said “I think he is one of the best writers I have ever known.” Groups have recorded his work as well: America, The Captain & Tennille and Widespread Panic.
