The continuation of the series “It’s Still Billy Joel to Me” within The Paul Leslie Hour where we review all of the studio albums of singer-songwriter-pianist Billy Joel. This is Vol. 2 – “Piano Man.”
Paul Leslie and co-reviewer Jason Burge delve into Billy Joel’s second album “Piano Man,” produced by the late Michael Stewart. Recorded and released in 1973, the album has 10 songs including his signature song: “Piano Man.”
This is the breakthrough record, that’s not to say that it was financially successful. Nonetheless… it’s place in history is sealed. The album was on Columbia Records… Billy was thrilled to be on the same label as Bob Dylan. Billy Joel’s association with Columbia Records continues to this day.
It’s a fast-paced, compelling discussion about America’s foremost pianist-singer-songwriter second studio album! Tune in as we review the album.
