It was my late, incredible friend Ben who introduced me to The Savage Nation, the radio show hosted by the fiery, encyclopedic, and believe it or not sensitive Dr. Savage, the foremost purveyor of “Psychological Nudity.” Through the years his broadcasts and books posed illuminating questions. I’ve come to liken him to a professor or teacher. His show is his classroom.
A Savage Republic is Dr. Savage’s last political book
“Books are more important today than they’ve ever been,” Savage said. According to him, A Savage Republic is his last political book. It’s a documentation of the war of ideas, and the bad ideas that most certainly have jettisoned our nation into a decline. With his acerbic style, Savage packs a lot of facts and analysis into this book. I suspect the book would be upsetting for both red and blue voters, although the latter aren’t likely to pick this one up.
Michael Savage is an independent thinker
The obesity and other public health crises, the damage resulting from modern marijuana, gender insanity, and the pseudo intellectual drivel seeping out of academia —Savage addresses far more topics than his peers. He has a better take than all of the big name political commentators and TV hosts out there. Read their books or turn on the television: everyone is endlessly and vacuously repeating the same talking points. I don’t have interest in rehashes of rehashes.
It’s why I recommend A Savage Republic. These takes are clearly his own. If I had to find one criticism, it’s that much of the book has already been covered by Savage in his podcasts. Then again, I’m an ardent listener.
A Savage Republic is encouraged if you have an open mind and aren’t afraid of facing the sobering realities of modern America. The author, with his great variety of interests makes him particularly suited to dissect the causes and effects of the maelstrom occurring both here and abroad.
A Savage Republic tells it like it is
A Savage Republic makes connections between moments and people in history that aren’t realized by most. I’m glad this book chronicles Savage’s ideas and if you’ve heard his show, you can even hear his voice. If you’re looking for comfort, there won’t be much of it here, but Dr. Savage has never been one to tell you only what you want to hear.
