Ken Williams is a major influence and innovator in the music industry. He is a prolific songwriter, the publisher of more than 300 songs. Some of the other hats Ken Williams has worn include singer and record producer. Songs he wrote would include the signature hit song of The Main Ingredient: “Everybody Plays the Fool (Sometime),” which was also recorded by Aaron Neville. “Love, Love, Love” by Donny Hathaway, “Sweet Music, Soft Lights and You” recorded by Tom Jones and R. Bailey as well as Millie Jackson and Isaac Hayes. More recently, Kanye West and Alicia Keys won a Grammy for Best R&B Song for “You Don’t Know My Name.” The music for the songs was written by Ken Williams, originally from a song he wrote recorded by the Main Ingredient entitled “Let Me Prove My Love to You.”
